Description Gouache paint, sometimes called opaque watercolour, is a fantastic medium for creating paintings that have the body of an oil ,but using a water-based medium. Ideal for those who don't like solvents or those who would love a quick drying painting or shetching medium. It can also be used to enhance watercolour paintings. It has a lovely velvety texture when dry. Painted on watercolour paper, this medium can be layered unlike watercolour so it is very forgiving and exciting to work with.
